Amstone assists its clients with investing in and disposing of real estate, whether in the Netherlands or abroad. We support both sellers and buyers. We advise on the most tax-efficient investment and financing structure and on the VAT and real estate transfer tax (RETT) consequences of the relevant transaction.

When working with direct investments in Dutch real estate (‘asset deals’), we also undertake a tax due diligence investigation. In such an investment the main focus is on the VAT and RETT history of the relevant building, but aspects such as municipal charges will also be considered.

We have worked on transactions concerning office buildings, as well as wind farms, buildings in the health care sector, and hotels. Within Amstone, there is ample experience in setting up and advising on real estate investment funds and funds investing in energy and renewable energy.
